Age & Consent Records
SEPX permits adult content between consenting adults. This statement sets out the age and consent records that anyone publishing adult content here must hold, what we do to enforce that, and how a person depicted in content has it removed. It is published in the form of a section 2257-style compliance statement.
1. Statement
Adult content may be published on SEPX only where every person depicted was at least 18 years old when it was produced and consented in writing to its production and its publication. Holding the records that show this is a condition of publishing here. Publishing without them breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, and the content is removed.
SEPX LIMITED operates the platform; the content published on it is created and uploaded by its users. SEPX does not produce that content. Where United States record-keeping law (18 U.S.C. §2257 and §2257A) applies to a producer publishing here, meeting it is that producer’s responsibility — the requirements set out below apply in addition to it, not instead of it.
The records are held by the person who publishes the content. We do not collect or hold them for you, and nothing on this page transfers your obligation to keep them to us.
2. What must be recorded before publication
For every person depicted in adult content, before that content is published:
- Verification of age and identity against a current, legible, government-issued photo identity document.
- The legal name shown on that document, together with every stage name, alias or handle the person has used in the content.
- A written, signed consent — a model release — from that person, covering, as separate consents: the production of the content; its publication on this platform; and, where the content is made available for downloading by other users, its downloading. Where consent to downloading has not been given, the content must not be made downloadable.
- The date the content was produced, and enough description of it for the consent to be matched to the specific content it covers.
3. What we do today
We verify the identity and age of the account publishing adult content. Before an account can open or upload to an adult channel, it must pass a check carried out by an independent identity-verification provider against a government-issued identity document. That check happens on the provider’s systems: SEPX receives whether it passed, which method established it, and an opaque reference. The document is not transmitted to, processed by or stored on our own systems. Because the provider holds it as our processor, it is visible to us in the provider’s dashboard, and we limit that access strictly — see section 9 of the Privacy Policy for who may look and when. Section 7 names the provider.
We do not collect a release for every person depicted in uploaded content, and the platform does not hold those releases. Publishing adult content here remains an undertaking by the publisher that the records in section 2 exist, are accurate, and can be produced. A verified publisher account is not a verification by us of the records for the people in that content, and must not be represented as one.
What we do beyond that is enforce the requirement: we can demand the records for any adult content published here, we act on complaints and on removal requests from people depicted in content, and content for which valid records are not produced when we ask comes down and the account is actioned under the Acceptable Use Policy.
The records are held by the publisher, not by us. We verify the identity and age of every publishing account before it can post adult content, we impose the record-holding obligation contractually and in these rules, and we enforce it: we can demand the records for any adult content published here at any time, and content for which valid records are not produced is removed and the account actioned.
A verified publisher account is a verification of that account holder. It is not a verification by us of the records for the people depicted in that publisher’s content, and it must not be represented as one.
4. Retention and access
Records must be kept by the publisher for as long as the content they cover is published, and afterwards for as long as the law requires. They exist to be produced to a lawful requester, and to nobody else.
Where we obtain records — because we asked for them, or because a lawful request obliges us to — we pass them to law enforcement, to regulators, and to card-scheme compliance reviewers acting under their programme rules, on a lawful request. We do not publish them, sell them, or use them for marketing, profiling or any purpose other than the age and consent check itself, and we do not make them visible to moderators beyond the person handling the case, to partners, or to other users.
5. Record-keeping enquiries
Record-keeping enquiries, including from law enforcement: SEPX LIMITED, 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom — support@sepx.cc. This is a point of contact, not custody of publishers’ records: the age, identity and consent records for the people depicted in content published here are held by the publisher of that content, and are produced to us within 72 hours of demand.
Enquiries about records, including from law enforcement: Legal & Compliance, support@sepx.cc.
6. Withdrawing consent
Anyone depicted in content published here can withdraw consent at any time, including consent they gave when the content was made. Consent is not permanent and is not signed away.
You do not need an account to do this and you do not have to give a reason. Use the Content Removal procedure. We acknowledge those requests within 24 hours, put them at the front of the moderation queue ahead of ordinary reports, and resolve them within 5 business days — resolved meaning the content is removed where the request is upheld, not merely that a decision has been recorded.
A withdrawal ends the consent it relates to. Re-uploading the content under the original release is a further breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, and we act on it as one.
7. Content published without records
If you believe adult content here was published without a valid age check or consent — including content of you — tell the Content Removal Agent at support@sepx.cc, or use the form at /content-removal. We take it up with the publisher and require the records for it.
Content for which no valid record can be produced is removed and the publisher is actioned under the Acceptable Use Policy. Content sexualising a minor is removed at once, preserved and reported to the authorities.
